w’s..
It’s always good to count the little wins. I am a firm believer that in out of the many ways in which to build self-confidence, one should always celebrate the little wins. When you are on a journey, whatever journey that may be. Wether it’s starting a business, a fitness goal, financial goals and beyond. I am a person who always has lofty goals. Most of the ideas and concepts that have on a daily basis are ones that require a lot of time to prepare, so one of the things I like to do is break the goal down into small pieces and then celebrate each piece you achieve along the way. So for instance, if you have a weight loss goal of 50lbs, most would consider that a lofty goal. When I was 50lbs overweight, I knew I had at least a 90 day schedule. Instead of intimidating myself and oftentimes, disappointing myself, by stepping on a scale every week like I had tried in the past, I said that I wasn’t going to ever step on a scale, However, I would track my progress by my clothes size. I was an extra-large shirt and an 36 waist at the time and once I started making the commitment to the goal, I knew I was having success because my pant sizes were coming down. Everytime I dropped a pant size, I bought some small miniature bottles of champagne and popped a bottle for size 36, then size 34, then that became a 33 and I kept Celebrating and before I knew it, I was exactly where I wanted to be (155lbs) I took a lofty goal, broke it down, changed my perception on what weight loss was in my mind and then I started to see the results I wanted and not only reached my weight loss goal of 50lbs, I ended up surpassing my goal by an extra 15lbs!
So I encourage you today to celebrate the little wins. Give yourself some credit and talk positively to yourself, always. It’s important that you recognize the greatness within yourself and build that self confidence little by little. There an old wise quote that says “The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time” and that quote definitely applies to this topic because it’s real easy to have a large goal and then miss the target completely because you may lack the patience to achieve said goal and if you don’t have the patience, chances are, it’s not really what you desire, at least not long-term, anyway. On the other end of the spectrum when it comes to small or little wins is that you get to practice the habit of celebrating! On a subconscious level, the very habit of celebrating and celebrating often, gives your body the impression that it is doing a great job and gets it in the habit of always celebrating. When you begin to start living in that celebratory vibration, it is only a matter of time before you begin to attract more wins, pressed down, shaken together and running over with wins! Build that celebration habit. It’s a great habit to have. There’s some people out there addicted to worse habits than that.
Before I go, I do not want to leave out the times when you lose too. There’s “big losses” and “little loses” too and even when things don’t always go your way or you may consider something a “loss” it’s always good to have a positive outlook on your situation. There’s always something to learn in a loss, but when you find the lesson in it, rejoice in the lesson! Don’t get down on yourself when things don’t work out. Just see it as an opportunity to regroup which is the ground floor of perseverance. Until next Time, wash your hands, stay inside and count the little w’s..they count too!

Morning Thoughts…
Good morning… It’s definitely a blessing to see another day, you know? In the mornings typically, I like to get up early, before sunrise and sit in silence. It’s something about sitting in silence that’s soothing to my spirit. It gives me a chance to process things, explore new ideas, take personal inventory and then write down the entire process onto paper. Within that meditating time, I realized that there are more unwarranted thoughts that pop into my mind. They pop into my mind all the time but they are significantly louder when I’m sitting still and being quiet. What I have been doing with a lot of those thoughts is, ignore them. I’ve learned over the last couple of years to just watch the thoughts whizz by and don’t even acknowledge them. Especially the bad ones. You typically know the bad ones by how they make you feel when they flash across the screen of your mind. Some thoughts stay longer than others. Some come and go in an instant and then there’s the ones I call “Long-tailed” thoughts. Those are the thoughts that when they flash across that mental picture in your mind, they stay for an elongated period of time. Now, most of these “long-tailed” thoughts are negative. I’m still unpacking why that is but that’s another post for another day, but when these long-tailed thoughts occur, and it’s a negative one, it is important to have the discernment to first realize that the thought is not even real in the first place, and two: Create such a mental discipline and toughness by not agreeing to the negative thought that you think. Don’t even acknowledge it. Because if you do, you are going to be toying around with that thought for God know how long, warring with yourself because you want to believe it but that’s not what God believes about you. It’s what you shouldn’t believe about yourself. Writing down those thoughts on to paper, no matter what it is, is very therapeutic. Journaling how you feel about those thoughts are key to helping you figure out more about yourself and it also helps you heal if you are mentally or emotionally hurting from a particular situation.
However, the “Long-tailed” thoughts that are positive? That’s another story. Those are the thoughts that you should entertain the most. For obvious reasons of course, writing down those positive thoughts and ideas is the perfect ammunition for shortening those long-tailed negative thoughts and ideas. The more you think about the thoughts that bring you the most happiness… the more you can appreciate your surroundings and the abundance flowing into your life on a daily basis and being grateful and thankful for everything in your life, only then will that take up so much of your mental time and attention, that you will eventually stop getting those negative thoughts so often because they won’t ever stop showing up, let me just keep it real with you.
I like to think of thoughts as people. All thoughts. Negative, positive and anything thing in between. And my mind is my house. Every thought that comes into my mind, knock on the door to my heart and I have to make a choice on wether or not I want that particular thought to come in and hang out for a while because if I hang out with it long enough, it is going to start to consume my space and effect me in ways that can either hurt me or help me.
Protect your heart, always. Be kind to yourself. Forgive yourself and then you will continue to draw those good thoughts to mind. Fall in love with those ideas that bring you the most joy. Fall in love with the feeling of already having what you’ve been asking for in complete confidence that it’s going to show up to you.
I hope something good happens to you today :)
Much Love ❤️
