Be the Flow..
“Go with the Flow” has always been a great cliche quote to have handy when going through situations that you can’t control. But Jay-Z once said, “Don’t go with the flow, BE THE FLOW!” And I never really did get it when I heard him say it during his “B-Sides” concert in Brooklyn a few years ago. But when you become the flow, what exactly is happing inside of you that makes you vibrate in a level that is clearly on a another realm? How does one even get to be a flow? I have a few thought and theories on that but, I want to start with actually GOING. In order to flow, you have to move. And I can speak for myself when I say that moving is probably one of the hardest things to do. Especially when you are living in a kind of fear that doesn’t really help you get motivated to get started.
Since I’ve been focusing on myself and my businesses, I’ve grown a kind of awareness that allows me to view in real-time the kind of flow that is actually occurring in my life, my relationships, friendships and more. But once I pulled the trigger to do the things that bring me the most happiness, I have attracted more positive things into my life that allows me to flow in such a way that many others can’t. To be able to have the courage to trust God with all of the things that you desire, only then will you begin to experience this “Flow” that Jay and so many others subscribe to, including myself. When you “go with the flow” you are under the influence of something else that is moving you. But when you, yourself “becomes” the flow then you are in the drivers seat. It doesn’t even mean that you are in total control, but the things that flow in and out of your life is all according to the choices that you make and the results, at least from what I have experienced, is the way I prefer. It just gives you a nice balance of know that something more powerful beyond yourself, is giving you an energy that requires a kind of slow that suits you best. God knows exactly what you need and he is always on the lookout for your best interests. all you have to do is trust in God and believe in whatever it is that you’re asking for, God will assist you and flow into your life all of the things that you desire.
Much Love,
Jermy
40..
You know, living on this earth for 40yrs has been such a great journey. Everyday, I continue to think about how great of a life I have loved thus far and how I am so excited to experience more great things in my life. I really do feel that I have been fortunate enough to to have the awareness to know that I am still a work in progress and that there’s more layers to be peeled back and discovers on a much personal, emotional and spiritual level. I’ve essentially lived two separate lives. The first 20yrs was spent building my foundation and life principles here in Jersey City. The next 20yrs would be spent in an entirely different state on an entirely different coast. But through them all, The good, the bad and the ugly, I can truly say that I have been equipped with some life experience that has awarded me the luxury of being able to use all of the tools from all of the life lessons I’ve learned and can now use those to fuel me for the next 40yr journey. It’s totally God’s will for what he wants for me in my life, but I can truly say that I am ready for what’s coming. The lessons that are left to be taught and the victories that are yet to be won. It’s important to know that you have to have a level of belief in yourself, in order to withstand life’s obstacles and how you navigate through those feelings should help out everything in its proper perspective.
Greatful…No Typo.
I’m feeling good. Real good. Feeling grateful. Feeling great. Feeling, “Greatful.” I just want to let you guys know that you can do anything if you just believe in yourself and stay the course. I am in a unique time in my life when I am clearly embarking on uncharted waters but I don’t feel any anxiety or worry about how I’m going to do as I continue to ascend as a person, a father, a business owner, a friend and so many of the other hats that I continue to wear on a continuous basis. I have done a great job at managing my time wisely by recognizing what’s important, first. And then going down the list. Knocking them off one by one is how I’m doing it. And I am helping others as I am continuing to grow and God continues to enlarge my territory. For the first time in a long time I finally feel like I’m getting my timing back and I’m a lot more pleasant to be around because of where my mindset is. I have a had a laser like focus with everything that has been going on with ‘Goodness and Mercy’ and I am excited that you get to join me in this journey as I continue to figure things out and learn from my experiences each and every day.
The universe continues to develop around me and God is at the steering wheel, comfortably. It’s the trust factor that enables me to get to this level of trust. Not only because I just don’t know what I’m doing, but because I trust that whatever I am doing is instructed and led by God and I am blessed to have the vision and the discernment to be able to navigate through life’s peaks and valleys. I have my health, I have my family, a great host of family and friends that have my best interest at heart and I could t ask for a better situation than we here I am currently. I am truly grateful and appreciative of my life. Where I’ve been and most importantly, where I’m going. It’s so crazy that a year ago, I was running around trying to have meeting with people, trying to convince them on my concepts and ideas and they never came to pass but as soon as I took the chance and decided to do things on my my own, things started to come together. Sometimes I wish that I would have recognized that early on, but that’s a part of the journey, I think. It’s about going through life’s experiences and letting it grow tour wisdom and understanding and I would much rather be a late bloomer than receive something I’m not ready for and ruining it because of my inexperience. But God puts you through things that you are ready to experience all BECAUSE of your inexperience. It all works towards your good. That’s why you have to count it all joy when you go through trials because it’s an opportunity to grow and learn and expand as person. Well, that’s my thoughts for the day. I know that I haven’t been writing as consistent as I would like but I have a growing business that is running faster and faster each and every day. It’s like when a baby first learns how to walk. They want to run fast once they get the hang of it and I think that’s the energy I’ve been encompassing over the last 60 days. Out of nowhere I’ve become a graphic designer and have already handed many clients that include Grocery forte and deli’s to small, budding clothing brands, catering services, all the way to major film and television production companies. It’s been crazy how everything has begun to unfold. That’s how things work I guess when you finally decide to take a chance on yourself and your happiness. Love you guys and I’ll be back tomorrow. It’s “Self-care Sunday” lol love you guys!
